I’m not about to declare this little knick knack kitty to be a world class piece of Cat in Lotus tattoo shirt, but in its modest way it is quietly excellent. While it’s obviously cute, my decision to purchase is based primarily upon the concept it illustrates that animals are intelligent and sensitive beings with emotions and an inner life from which they emerge. So, the idea of a yoga cat in meditation appears to me in no way absurd, but only as a reminder that we do not always acknowledge the complexity of the other beings with whom we share the Earth.
