If we can't explain an effect, we call it witchcraft, belief effect, faith, spirits, the boogie man effect, or a placebo effect. They're all the same. None can be proven. A boogie man persists until you look under the bed, until you understand. A placebo effect exists until you look under the hood, until you understand the cause.
