I thought he was being very kind but I still felt foolish until 5 years later when I was responsible for the most precious 2 year old you could imagine. One day she got a black eye at her child care centre after a tumble from a climbing gym. The carers were very apologetic. The little one could not articulate what happened to her but was mad keen to go back to the centre so I felt all was OK.
